Next Season AKA Evan Owen Dennis

Captured frame from a new project.

Stumbled across the website of Evan Owen Dennis today. He is one of the lead creatives behind the work of Emmy Award-winning creative production group, Shilo. This guy has some serious credit’s to his name, some of my favorite pieces of moving image were his works.

One piece that stuck out was the stunning new advert for Guinness which features spoken word artist Ainsley Burrows, it has great flowing CG elements mixed with perfect cinematography to create one great piece of footage. Make sure you have a look around his website— full of great art.

Extract from his website:

Hailing from Philadelphia, Evan Owen Dennis is a director, designer and illustrator residing in the Lower East Side of New York City. Evan’s short film work has been featured on the pages of Computer Arts Magazine and on the cover of Stash to name a few. For almost the past four and half years Evan has been a member of the team at Shilo in New York City, where currently he is an Associate Creative Director.

This election is giving me the sniffles

Hello punters.

I’m from Australia, so you may be wondering why I’m talking about the US election, especially since I doubt people from the US followed our election last year. But there is a saying here that goes “If the US sneezes, Australia catches a cold.”

See, the result of the US election has the potential to affect Australia just as much as our own election did. Not necessarily on a local level, but on the larger scale. The result of this election could mean the withrawal of our troops from Iraq and/or Afghanistan, as we generally follow the lead of the US in matters such as those. The result could also have an influence on the extent to which we are affected by the Global Financial Crisis. It may change the relationship between us and the US, depending on personalities, goals, ideologies and policies of it’s new leadership.

Let’s hope we only catch a cold.. not a full dose of influenza.

Dan.
